Göteborg · Full-time

At Vinnter, we work on something we genuinely enjoy: making products smarter.

We’re now looking to expand our team and are seeking a Senior Developer with experience in IoT and connected products. We’re not looking for expertise in one specific technology stack—we’re open to both embedded developers and system/software developers. What matters most to us is that you’ve worked with systems where hardware, software, and connectivity come together, and that you understand how the complete solution fits together.

We build our team with care. Our ambition isn’t to grow quickly—it’s to grow in the right way.

About the Role

As a developer at Vinnter, you’ll work on developing connected products, where the software is often closely integrated with the hardware.

We have a wide variety of projects and work with both early-stage startups and large global companies. Many of our customers are based in Gothenburg, but we also work nationally and internationally, including with customers in the United States.

We operate across several industries. A significant portion of our projects are within industrial IoT, helping companies digitize their products or develop new connected services. We also work in areas such as medical technology, infrastructure, transportation, and automotive.

Our assignments vary. Sometimes you’ll work on long-term projects as part of a customer’s development team. In other cases, we join as specialists to solve specific technical challenges. We also carry out in-house projects where we develop products together from our own office.

What makes working at Vinnter unique is that the focus isn’t primarily on writing code or choosing technologies. It’s equally about understanding the system as a whole and finding solutions that work in the real world.

We appreciate people who are curious, enjoy sharing ideas, and thrive in a collaborative team where everyone helps each other.

What It’s Like to Work at Vinnter

Vinnter is a consulting company, but we strive to do things a little differently.

We believe decisions should be made close to the people working on the projects, and that everyone at Vinnter contributes to the company’s development in one way or another. You’re not “just” part of a customer’s organization—you are also an important part of Vinnter’s future.

There are no long management hierarchies. Instead, we place a high level of trust in individuals and teams.

Knowledge sharing is a natural part of everyday work. We discuss solutions, learn from one another, and solve problems together. Generosity and curiosity are important parts of our culture.

We provide an environment where you can be yourself and continue to grow, both professionally and personally.

Vinnter specializes in business development, architecture, and software development for connected products. Our office is located at the top of Kvarnberget in Gothenburg, overlooking the harbor and the Älvsborg Bridge. Lunches on the rooftop terrace are a much-appreciated part of everyday life.

Experience and Qualifications

For this role, we’re looking for a Senior Developer with several years of experience who can take technical responsibility within projects—either by leading development efforts or by contributing as a specialist in more complex areas of the solution.

We’re looking for someone with experience developing connected systems, with a primary focus in either embedded software development or cloud and connected services.

You don’t need experience in everything listed below, but we believe you’ve worked with several of the following:

  • Embedded software development
  • Cloud services and backend systems for connected products
  • Wireless communication technologies such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or cellular connectivity
  • Working in agile development environments
  • Sensors and actuators

Experience with electronics design is considered an advantage.

Most importantly, you have experience with IoT or connected systems and understand how the complete solution fits together—from hardware and firmware to cloud platforms and digital services.

You likely have a technical education in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. This could be a university degree, a higher vocational qualification, or equivalent practical experience.

We encourage people from diverse backgrounds and experiences to apply. We believe strong teams are built by people who bring different perspectives.
